How an excavation job goes

Site visit and quote
We come look at it (or work from photos and a survey if it’s a small job). You get a written estimate with assumptions called out.

Locates and permits.
We submit Ontario One Call locates before we dig and confirm any township permits are in place.

Mobilization and excavation
Equipment on-site at the agreed start. Material stockpiled cleanly or hauled away as the job calls for.
04
Walk-through and sign-off
Final grade reviewed with you (or your builder) before we leave the site.

A huge factor measured in cubic yards when prepping a site.
What's underground
Clean soil is fast; hardpan, rock, and unexpected fill aren’t.
Access
Tight cottage roads, soft ground, and water proximity all cost time.
Disposal
Clean fill is easier than mixed material with rebar, roots, or contaminated soil.
Season
Frozen ground, deep mud, and water table all affect pace.
Days on site
The amount of time the equipment is on site is the single most important factor on price.
