- Permits – The Town of Parry Sound is a single-tier municipality, and its Building Department issues building permits for properties within town limits.
- Septic approvals – For properties on a private septic system rather than municipal sewer, on-site sewage system permits go through the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority’s Parry Sound office.
- Waterfront and waterways – Georgian Bay, the Parry Sound harbour and the Seguin River run through the area. We coordinate any shoreline-related approvals as needed.
- Rock and older housing stock – Like the rest of this part of the Shield, rock is common close to the surface. The town core also has a mix of older housing where demolition work comes up often.
